Duke - Genesis

Welcome back it's been a minute since the last post so hello to you wherever you may be. OK, let's kick it.

There is no such thing as a perfect album, but realistically I'm not looking for much when I listen to an album. I need all of the songs to be good, and I need them to be more than the sum of their parts. Hypothetically, that's easy. In actuality...no band virtually ever does this in a way that fits my needs.

Duke does. It wins in every category I need it to win in. It ebbs and flows but the slow ballads are great too. It's a really masterful album and this is the type of work you can listen to over and over and keep hearing new things.

Powerful. Emotional. Pleasant.
