77 - Talking Heads

We're back in 2023 and you know what they say, "twenty twenty-three, don't fuck with me".

I have been putting this album off. I really have. I have listened to it like...6 times. The issue with albums like this is that, because they aren't REALLY good or REALLY bad, I can't say anything unilateral and generalizing. I have to be specific. Which is a good thing...it's just a pain in my ass.

So, I'll start with this. I like the music pretty well. I don't think it's what I would listen to if I'm trying to focus on the music. Which I often am. Maybe I'll listen to this on a train ride or something. In the background type behavior. It's got the weird chords. I'm indifferent about that. Often funky. I like that. There are no straight jams on this album though. So it loses points for that. So like, lukewarm on the music end.

We are having voice problems again. I don't have time for it. I understand some people appreciate a raw tone and stuff like that, but not only is that not my thing, but he's OUT of tune. A good bit. It's just...I don't know...annoying.

So, it's someone's cup of tea, and I can even go so far as to say I understand why it is. But do I like it...nah. Not really.

Exhausting. Peppy. Nifty.
